Dreams do come true
Borbala 15 years ago I was dreaming about travelling to Houston, and visiting the Space Center, because I was always mesmerised by space travel. The only problem was, that I hardly got by, I was living from paycheck to paycheck. So, travelling to the US seemed impossible. Despite of this, I felt positive, that one day I would see the rockets and space shuttles, no matter what, somehow I would manage to do it. And I left it there, did not give it too much attention or thought.
Fast-forward 15 years, and my dream came true. For the first time in my life I had the opportunity to travel to the US, and I made sure that I visited the National Air and Space Museum. I got to see Neil Armstrong’s space suit, the Apollo 11 command module, Moon rocks, and I could try on a space suit glove. I was circling around the Discovery space shuttle for 45 minutes, it was so magical to me to see it in person. It’s just mind-blowing that using everyday materials we can actually travel, and live in space… Visiting this museum was definitely an experience of a lifetime. 🙂
